On Thursday, 25th September, Five Senses was formally relaunched with an open day event. The occasion was highly successful and included distinguished guests, such as the Mayor of Rotherham, Councillor Rukhsana Ismail, who attended alongside her daughter serving as the Mayor’s consort. Councillor Ismail stated that she was very impressed by our service and graciously invited  staff members and service users to visit the Town Hall for a tour.

There were many guests throughout the day who enjoyed the food and explored the sensory play areas. The cornflake tart, prepared by Megan (formerly of Bacon & Megs), received positive feedback and will now be a regular item on Megs Menu at Five Sense Tiny Teas & Tasteful Treats.

Our Halloween event room attracted both children and adults, who participated in taking photos against our spooktacular backdrop and played with Halloween-themed toys.

All in all, the day was a great success and we cant wait to welcome some of the children and adults as regular visitors. You can view some fantastic photos from the day here Gallery - KC Care & Social Activities Ltd

The atmosphere throughout the day was warm and inviting, with staff members ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and included. Many visitors expressed their appreciation for the attention to detail and the unique sensory experiences on offer, highlighting the inclusive environment that Five Senses strives to create.

We invite you to visit our sensory rooms and enjoy our exceptional cuisine. Our facility is autism and learning disability friendly, and we have implemented a booking system to prevent overcrowding. This allows both children and adults who may find large groups challenging to enjoy our spaces in a safe and comfortable environment. Our sensory play areas are only £6.50 per child, per hour. We can also cater for a special birthday party – just get in touch to book or enquire about group bookings.

We cant wait to welcome you 😊
